What a long time! I was allowed to accompany children from the first class onwards, young teenagers and adults as well as students on their way to musical vocational training. Through these experiences as well as the continuous exchange with colleagues and regular further education I was able to grow and improve. I enjoy to share my experience with you and continue learning together.

As a musician myself I have been conducting various choirs for sixteen years and still accompany my local gospel choir from time to time with the piano. I have arranged a lot for the choirs as well as for my students. Music creation is my favourite subject. The computer became an extremely helpful tool in this work and a gateway to a new dimension of both realization and effectiveness.

In retrospect, the training period was long. It included the three main subjects of music, philosophy and pedagogy, each including two state examinations combined with a two-year traineeship. On the credit side, I often appreciate the broad foundation that is available to me in my work.
<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My fascination with creating Music began as Child.<\/h3><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t

When I met the piano in my early years, I did not get lessons, but played anyway. I still love to improvise as a source of discoveries and a mirror of thoughts and feelings.

Later I sometimes tried to get my siblings to play together and made the first attempts at arranging and composing. When teaching and leading choirs I often met a similar situation in the professional context.

At the age of twelve I started playing Bach and I found it a miracle how it could be done to write music like that. I wanted to know the secret and asked my teacher more than I could understand and he could teach. This curiosity is still alive and is one of my basic keys to all music.

Writing music is a fascinating challenge.  As with a good text, it's about choosing from different expression possibilities in order to match an intention as closely as possible and to find a way how everything makes sense in the overall picture.  It can sometimes be a lot of effort, perhaps like a hiker in the mountains, but it is a grateful moment to rest and enjoy the view after work.
